Cradlewise, the AI-first infant sleep and child wellness company, has raised $12 million in a Series A funding round led by 3one4 Capital, with participation from Prudent Investment Management and other investors. Founded by Radhika Patil and Bharath Patil, Cradlewise is a longer-use sleep system that combines a crib, contactless monitoring, adaptive motion and a connected app, designed to detect early signs of stirring and help the baby settle before a full wake-up. The smart-crib helps save up to 2 hours of parenting effort each day.
Cradlewise began from a problem the founders experienced as new parents. Radhika previously worked at Qualcomm and leads company strategy, product vision, GTM and partnerships. Bharath previously worked at Texas Instruments and leads hardware, embedded systems, sensing, AI and product engineering.
Traditional nursery hardware operates on a fundamentally reactive model. Existing baby monitors serve primarily as high-frequency alarm systems, notifying parents only after an infant has reached a state of distress, creating a lagging feedback loop that demands immediate parental intervention. This forces parents to wake up and comfort the child.
The consumer nursery market has historically been bifurcated between low-technology wooden furniture and passive digital observation tools. Parents are forced to purchase multiple fragmented products, including bassinets, cribs, white-noise machines, and video monitors, which fail to communicate with each other. Owning a disjointed product stack complicates the nursery setup and requires parents to monitor multiple notifications simultaneously.
The smart crib combines contactless sensing, predictive machine learning, and silent physical soothing in a single, integrated unit. Rather than waiting for a late-stage distress signal like a full cry, the multi-sensor stack continuously monitors sound, movement, and subtle posture cues to detect early signs of stirring. Software algorithms process these signals in real time, predict wakefulness, and start a gentle bouncing motion that emulates the comfort of a parent's arms. By intervening early, the crib guides the infant back into a deep sleep cycle before a wakeful state occurs. The crib also acts as an evolving parenting tool, adapting to the needs of the household with over-the-air updates delivered periodically.
Designing hardware to move and soothe an infant within a quiet nursery requires engineering discipline. Drawing on deep systems backgrounds, Radhika Patil and Bharath Patil engineered the smart crib to operate with mechanical quietness. The proprietary mechanical bounce system uses custom silent actuators and safety-certified drive systems, ensuring that physical movement does not introduce noise or vibration into the sleep environment.
While many hardware startups outsource assembly to third-party offshore contract manufacturers, Cradlewise operates an integrated, company-owned manufacturing facility in Pune, India. Controlling the entire manufacturing line gives the platform complete oversight over product safety, material purity, and structural testing. The in-house production model also allows Cradlewise to manage manufacturing cost discipline while preparing for nationwide and international channel expansion.
With this Series A capital, Cradlewise will expand the product roadmap beyond the crib to support older childhood sleep journeys through software-led sleep routines, adjacent child sleep hardware, and reusable sensing modules. The fresh capital will fuel strategic growth, channel diversification, product R&D, and geographic expansion.
At 3one4 Capital, our investment lens for consumer platforms focuses on category creation, proprietary technical moats, and capital-efficient execution. Cradlewise delivers on all three by pairing a globally competitive product with the vertical manufacturing control needed to build an enduring international brand. We are proud to partner with Radhika, Bharath, and the entire Cradlewise team as they build a defining global kids brand.
